Celebrating fifty (50) years of international success the Fiftieth (50th) Anniversary Edition of the all-time cult classic motion picture “The Giant Spider Invasion” will debut it’s première showing on October 30th at 5:30 p.m. For a sneak preview before the national release at the palatial Rouman Cinema Complex in Rhinelander Wisconsin.

Also, celebrating 50 years of Wisconsin Movie History with a documentary “The Wisconsin Movie Scrapbook”, reflecting on the  history of Bill Rebane works and the Shooting Ranch Studios which flourished for over two decades as the one and only full-time feature film studios in the Midwest.

The Giant Spider Invasion was and is an enigmatic independent film success, becoming one of the fifty fop grossing films of 1975 amassing a gross income internationally of over 150 million dollars following the next two years. While putting the name of Wisconsin on the international map, the film has been translated in most every major language in the world and still enjoys continuing showings globally. The 50th anniversary version has been digitally enhanced in 4 K and CGI (computer generated effects).

TIP TOE THROUGH THE TULIPS AND TINY TIM

Announcement March 24, 2024:

Tiny Tim, the songbird who rocked the popular music world around the globe with his falsetto voice rendition of “Tip Toe through the Tulips”, will be remembered with a Retrospect and Tribute titled: “Tiny Tim in Lincoln County” presented by the Merrill Historical Society at the Gleason Bowling Alley and convention center Saturday April 13, 2024. Featuring Tiny Tim’s Come back performances in the Gleason area in late l980’s. and early l990’s. in several concerts and dramatic roles at the Shooting Ranch Studios Gleason where he starred in his only feature film, “Nightmare” and a Tiny Tim and Friends a children’s TV show. The event will be a full day of entertainment with food amenities and screening of the Capture of Bigfoot also filmed in the Gleason area in 1979. Tickets are $23.00 inclusive of buffet between film screenings.
